Default Say a prayer for me please......

My dh is attempting to fix my dishwasher! I can see this getting very ugly before it's over LOL!

My poor dh, he comes from a family that hires someone to do any little fix it thing for them. His dad isn't the kind that repaired things and let him help, etc. so he's never learned to do things. When my uncle lived here he would come over and do repairs for us and dh would help and he learned alot that way. He's replaced our entire front porch, put siding on our house, put a new roof on the house, laid floor tiles, etc. He tries really hard.

However, he is also the kind to try and do everything the fastest way possible. When he paints he slops paint everywhere and leaves it to dry rather than wipe it up. He also gets frustrated very quickly and usually it ends up with him yelling, cursing and throwing tools LOL!

I may or may not have a dishwasher that works when he's finished. He thinks the drain line is clogged but at the moment he is sitting in the kitchen floor looking puzzled trying to figure out what has the dishwasher snagged so that he can't get it out from the cabinet area LOL.

UMMMMM and oops.....he just said "I Think I just broke the d**n water line!" Oh yeah!

As someone who has done it before, it is easy to get so wrapped up in the "fix" that you don't notice the destruction you are causing. The lesson I learned, probably with age, is to slow down and have patience. I even learned that when you read the instructions things are easier. I applaud your DH for trying. Whether he is successful or not, the fact he tried separates him from most people. Best of luck to you both and to your kitchen.

He fixed it! I am constantly amazed at him! He will tackle something he knows nothing about and somehow figure it out! I HATE to wash dishes by hand so this is a BIG thing for me!

Of course he did break the butcher block that goes on top of the dishwasher in two and flood the kitchen floor twice, but he got it fixed LOL. Gotta love that man!!

Collateral damage doesn't count when you are successful. And to think you doubted this man!

Glad he got the job done but sorry for the rocky road to get there. Bless his little pea pickin' heart.

Glad he got it fixed. I've given up on my dh and just tackle it myself. It's better for our marriage and my nerves.
