Here's What's Happening With My Heart
Went to the cardiac specialist today. He said that my recent heart cath procedure was clear and that folks half my age would love to have my arteries. Hooray! He said my blood pressure seemed to be naturally low, so I didn't need to be on any BP meds. Hooray!
He said my heart rate is too fast, and that I will be fitted with a monitor to wear for 24 hours next week. And that I am severely anemic. Hopefully these two problems can be taken care of.
Thanks to all for your concern and well wishes and prayers. The last week has been very rough, and I am still sore and bruised from the heart cath. I've been super tired and just feel like I have no energy. Maybe the anemia???
But I am now released to drive again and to resume exercising at Curves. Hooray!
He congratulated me on taking the vitamins and supplements that I do, and for watching my diet carefully, and for regular exercise. He also said that my waist measurement is good, not showing any fat build up in that area. Hooray! So it seems that I am doing the right things in my lifestyle. Now I just need to take care of the anemia and heart rate.Last edited by forHISglory; 02-11-2009 at 10:57 PM.

So glad to hear that things went well. The monitor that u are being fitted for is it called a holter monitor? if so my DH had that done 7 years ago. He was hooked up to it and had to sleep with it on, if he had any palpations or anything he had to press this button. it is a pretty easy test to get done, I will pray that everything comes back normal for that too.

That's good news, my friend!
You can remedy the anemia rather quickly taking iron? Praying for you to feel energetic and back to yourself again real soon.

Glad to hear things are looking good. Yes, the anemia will make you exhausted and weary. I went through that before my hysterectomy. That plus all the stress and worry of the last few days, no wonder you are tired.
