Default We got a new puppy!!!

So we weren't going to get a new dog until our other one passed away (we were thinking quite a few years yet...as he is only 3yo), but yesterday morning my friend's dh was outside playing with their ds, they walked down to end of their lane and her dh heard a whimper...someone had left 2 little puppies laying in the snow...they were both pretty much frozen and very hungry. My friend got them warm and gave them some food, then took them to the vet...they both have worms..but have now had a shot!

We have deceided to call our little puppy LUCKY, considering he was the one my friend and the vet didn't think would make it!! He's doing pretty good today...still eating and drinking...and going potty!!

I am a little worried about the worm situation and my kids, but they aren't really allowed to touch the dog yet, and if they do hands are washed right away!!

Just thought I would share my frugal puppy (free) story with you all!!!

Congratulations on your new pup!! (And I hope the jerk who left them there there to die gets double negative karma points back in return!)

I have fostered a number of pups with worms. As long as your kids are not touching the puppy's feces, they should be fine. Washing their hands is definitely a good insurance policy, though!
