~When I became pregnant with dd I decided not to have a repeat cesarean. I was highly pressured by my husband and my midwife's supervising doctor to have a repeat c. Everyone talked down to me like I wasn't able to gather the facts and statistics and make my own decision about the kind of birth I wanted. My doctor dropped me as a patient a week before I delivered because I wouldn't take his advice and schedule a c-section. The hospital, even though they claimed they weren't allowed to allow vbac's, admitted me because I was was 6cm dilated and that was state law. Of course, having researched my plan well, I knew that. I had a long back labor. But I've never felt so strong physically and mentally or as happy as when my 50+ hours were over and I saw my beautiful baby girl.~
