    Default geez......

    flashback many many years ago:

-i used to love to go to the mall and shop... i liked the choices....i liked the department stores....
.......then the first wave of the frugal tide swept in...

-i still liked the mall but now i would only buy when something was on sale....
    .......swoosh....another wave...

-now it was clearance racks all the way..or no mall...no dept store...
    .......swoosh....another wave....

-i left the mall atmosphere behind me....i'm only shopping at the 'off-retail' stores (tj maxx, marshalls,... even kohls-coz of the GREAT sales they have)....
    .......swoosh.......wave............

now i am shopping only at k-marts & wal-marts.....haven't been to the 'dicounters' in awhile...haven't been to the mall in years.....
    .......swoosh..........wave..............

i have picked up the habit of hanging out in the thrift stores....(and garage sales)....if it's more than .50-1.00.....then i don't want it....
    ........swoosh..............another wave..............

today...............i didn't even want to shop.........

    you are too funny.

We don't even have a mall where I live. Never could stand them. Well maybe as a teenager.

I don't go to the mall unless it is absolutely necessary. I don't really like to shop so most of the time if I need something I hit the thrift stores or garage sales. The big corps. are not getting all of my money. Lets keep on trucking and get the things we need when it is only a deal.

I hate the mall.... I wish my ds and dil felt the same way. They think name brand is the only way to go. They wouldn't be caught in a thrift store. ((sigh)).

I think I had aversion training when it came to malls. My sister (four years older than me) used to make me sit with her when she cruised, and the only place in town to cruise was in a big loop in front of the only mall we had. I was always bored silly, and now every time I see that mall, it reminds me of those endless, mindless, loops. I've never had an urge to go to a mall, although I go if I want to go to a specific store within the mall, so I think some little female shopping chromosome got shut off, back when I was 13 years old!!

That is so funny. When I was a teenager I lived in our mall but my mom worked there. My sisters and I would take the bus down and wait for my mom to get off work. We spent most of our time sitting back and people watching. Boy we saw some strange people. Now I may hit the mall once a year to see a movie. I hate crowds and I hate walking on all that concrete.

I am not one that likes to shop either. I only buy it if it is a steal!! Meaning $5.00 or under, I love the thrift stores too and garage sales, I have no problems with being cheap. LOL

Cruising...brings back memories. (That's how I met my hubby)

I try to stay away from the mall as a general rule...I spend more time at Target and Walmart.
