    Further evidence for my theory that previous generations weren't really all that different... sure there were some who had it rough and they were meeting needs in different ways but those with means were obviously buying things for fun (beer) and convienence (infant food). That is not the picture that is painted for us of pioneer life. We only read about the hardships because they are more interesting for the people who wrote down the information in history books to report... kind of like what we see on the news when they focus on the bad stuff.
