Feel like I've been hit by a truck
On Sat we had arranged to meet up with the parents of my son's financee. We had met them before, before the engagement and therefore a few weeks ago they called and said that maybe we should meet up since everything was now serious. I said of course but inwardly I groaned (DH too.)
There are nice enough people, I suppose but are completely diffrent to us in many ways which isn't necessarily a bad thing of course.
Their idea to solve things is to throw money at problems - ours is bit different.
Anyhow I digress.
I wasn't looking forward to going and I kept saying to DH, more as joke than anything else, can't you figure out a reason not to go. He of course said, we have to go, we'll just make the most of it and have a nice time.
So off we went. The entire afternoon before we left, I felt a little strange in my stomach but put it down to nerves.
Without going into too many details - it wasn't nerves - it was food poisoning which started to rear it's ugly head while we were there.
Firstly I manage to reach the bathroom, seond time I didn't manage it and started to throw up while running to the bathroom. I have never ever felt so terrible (in all ways) in my life. It was so embarassing. We left just after my second bout. I proceeded to be sick all the way home and every 15 minutes till the following morning.
We don't what it was but one of our sons has it too. I had no idea that a person could feel so sick.
It's now Monday and I still feel like a truck has hit me.
BAH!!! Why did this have to happen - maybe bad karma because I made jokes about not wanting to go to these folks.
I will be more careful in the future.*Avril*

Oh no! I hope you start feeling better soon! I've only had "legitimate" food poisoning once and it was the most horrible thing I have ever been through in my life! So, I truely do hope you feel better soon!
Can you do some random act of kindness from home today, just to reverse the karma?
You know...just in case!

Oh, no, that must have been awful. I hope it goes away soon. You may need professional help if it doesn't.

It might have also been norovirus...it's really wicked and has about the same symptoms of food poisioning except you ache and hurt all over, run a high fever with it. I've had both and wouldn't want either again. I hope you're feeling better soon

Sorry this happened, no fun all the way around. Bad enough when you are on your own to have it happen but it sure is magnified when around others.

What did you have to eat? Apple cider vinegar is supposed to be good for food poisoning.
