Thank you for just being there.
i used to think about this stuff, alone.
Productive yes, fun not so much.
I found that "maintaining course" on frugality easily became a chore. That moment when enthusiasm turns into grim perserverance was always a little too close.
And getting a bargain is always good. But having people who understand why you're over the moon about spending less, or having less, or getting more for the same price makes the whole thing a lot more worthwhile.
Thanks for helping me see my "hobby" as a game not some form of OCD.

I don't really care what others think, but it really is nice to be in a group of people who understand shopping at Goodwill doesn't mean we're an inch from financial ruin, that we're not just buying other people's old junk, and that being frugal doesn't mean we need to be pitied.
I also appreciate the creativity demonstrated in so many ways on these forums. It's great not to be the only one who gets a kick of using things for other than their intended purposes and exchanging ideas with others who also get a kick out of making something from nothing and who thrive on that challenge.Last edited by Spirit Deer; 02-24-2009 at 04:05 PM.
