I'm psyched!
I just went to Aldi's today to nose around and check out the prices. I usually shop at Price Rite.. Alot of their stuff is cheaper than PriceRite! Some isn't. I'm now going to start my shopping there and Price Rite will be my second stop!
I'm making a price book now. Even while walking around and talking to my SIL she mentions some things that were even cheaper at Walmart than there.
some things that I noticed were cheaper are:
eggs: $1.15 @Aldi's $1.29@PR
Milk 2%: $2.09@Aldi's $2.34@PR
Flour $1.69@Aldi's $1.79@PR
Sugar was cheaper but dont remember how much
Butter $1.69@Aldi's $1.99@PR
Onions $1.19@Aldi's $1.69@PR
Solid Shortening $3.49/3# @Aldi's $7.59/6# @BJ's
I buy alot of flour, sugar and eggs since I bake alot so that alone was a great find! I'm so excited.
Only my friends here would understand my excitement about this! lol
I only bought a few things that I needed today. I'll be going back Friday for more stuff! Can't wait! I may even take a trip to Walmart today just to price shop.
I'm excited about finally filling in a price book. Now I can REALLY see the savings and sale patterns!

We have quite a few, but they're mostly of the salvage variety. Prices are great, but selection is low and you'd better get there early for the sale because quantities are "limited to stock on hand".
Aldi's seems to be a unique cross between a discount store and a regular store where you get the best prices, and selection as well.
