A couple disappointing things
All of my children were homeschooled up until September. My 2 younger boys and my twin girls (3 days of pre-k) started to go to a private school then, after we were able to get an almost full scholarship. We found out a couple of days ago that the school (all of 11 students) would not be opening again in the fall. I'm so disappointed that this didn't work out, and now we have to think about schooling options for the coming fall. This school was really an extension of family, so it was the best of both worlds for our family.
Another disappointment is that one of our local grocery stores, Market Basket, will be closing and Stop & Shop will be replacing them. MB has such great prices, and S & S is soooo much more expensive and their produce isn't as nice. We do have another nearby MB, but it's a bit more of a drive, the one that's closing is just about 1/4 mile away from us. Darn!
I hope there is some good news to replace this bad!

So sorry to hear about your school closing, that is so hard when you finally find one you really like and trust. The closing of stores seems to be going on everywhere.......Its sad when you lose the things you most like.
Hope you can find something to replace the school with...... your in my thoughts!
and I sure hope no more stores close their doors, its bad enough when you have to shop but when you lose the store closest to you and the one you like best it really is upsetting!
Good luck on finding a good school, hope you get it worked out quickly so you don't have to worry about it.

That's disappointing about the school closing. I understand how difficult it is to find a school you love. Our local public school is great. They have a program where class sizes in K-3 is generally kept below 20 students. Alas, it may not last. California is cutting 10% of their budget and class sizes may be the 1st thing to go up.
We're losing some stores but we are gaining 2 new ones soon. We're getting a local Trader Joe's (I won't have to drive 30 min. now when I need something from there) and a Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market. I've never shopped at a Fresh & Easy but it will be really close to where I live. I looked on their site and like the general concept of it.

So sorry to hear about the two closings. It will be difficult I am sure to find a school you love as much as that one and education for our children is one of the most important things too!
