We Have Two Week....
to get out of our house. Yesterday was the 30 days from the original contract that we were suppose to be out but the bank was dragging its feet as to if they even wanted to accept the offer. Well yesterday they did. Now the lady who is buying wants an inspection, even though the sale is 'as is', which is ok but whether it passes or not, we were told we have to be out in 2 to 3 weeks. We are planning on the 2 week goal.
We are still trying to get the house in shape, which is hard when there is only 1 1/2 of us. Wendell worked on it Wednesday then felt bad all day yesterday. I told him to rest up and we will both hit it hard on the weekend. I have a couple friends from school who have offered to come help us. Once we get the walls painted, pull up the old, stinky carpet, we should be ready to move in furniture.
I am hoping that Wendell will at least feel good enough to maybe go thru the shed and get things ready to pack up into the truck and then maybe we can get that done at least while he is at home. Tonight, I will have to try and get my jeep packed up with some stuff. I have the top part of the kitchen walls to finish and scrub the floor and it will be ready to start moving things into it. The cabinets won't be done but I can do them little by little once we are there.
So much to do, so little time. Thankfully one of the local churches is going to help us do the heavy moving. (Thank you Diana!) I don't know what we would do without their help. Thankfully we also have an attached garage so we will be able to use it as storage until we can get the upstairs cleaned out enough to store things up there.
While I think of it.... we need to figure out how to get rid of all the wasp nest/mud dobber nest upstairs in the crawl spaces. Wendell said he killed about a dozen while he was there painting on Thursday. I hate bees of any shape or form.
I better go. Gotta study for a test this morning. I am so glad the weekend is almost here.

I'm glad you guys have some help moving! That'll take some of the stress off of you!
I have no idea how to get wasp nests gone from inside. When we pulled down our siding, we had a yellow jacket hive (think hundreds of thousands of them living in the garage wall) that had made a home in the insulation. After watching Dh and 3 other grown men, running for their lives after taking down some of the insulation
, we tried every product available to get rid of them. They finally used a bleach and water solution (which killed them instantly), but I don't think you'd want to use that in the house!
Hopefully, you can find something that will work! I don't like bees either! Good luck, I hope you get everything taken care of and can't make your new house a home soon!

I hate moving! There is so much work and usually such little time. I am glad you have people who care enough to help, especially with the heavy things. Don't stress, it will all work out. Just focus on one task at a time rather than the whole picture. It helped me alot when I was moving, doing it all on my own. Good luck and keep us posted! Ooooh, I wish I was moving into a house like that, you lucky girl!

Oh how I wish I lived closer to you! I would be there to help you.
Its so hard to do all of this when you have to hurry, and as the old saying goes, "many hands make light work"!
Go to the store and look for a "bug boom", they work awesome. You set them to go off and they fume the whole house. Do it before you move in, then you don't have to worry about fumes.
There is also a hornet and wasp at walmart called Eliminator. Its just called wasp and hornet killer. It sprays up to 10 feet, so you don't have to get close to the nests. It works great, and its best to use in the evening when all the hornets are home! It also stays active on the nest for a few days so that anything that comes back to it is killed also. It is awesome, and really does the job for hornets and wasps.
Good luck, I really do wish I was close so I could help you, but I will keep you in my thoughts that all goes well!

I will let you know when and please know that I appreciate it!
You have been such a good friend to Wendell and I.
I am taking it easy tonight and hope to hit it tomorrow morning. I would love to get the kitchen walls finished and a good scrubbing on the floor. While I am doing that, I hope Wendell can get the livingroom and bedroom at least primed.
They are predicting a cold front with a chance of snow tomorrow. I hope they are wrong.
Thank you all...
Debbie
