Two things at the grocery store today...
1. I realized how paranoid I am after reading the "Do you look in carts" thread that everybody is looking in my cart. Lots of people got dirty looks today ~ it didn't help that I was buying a really weird assortment of stuff, LOL!. I hate the grocery store to begin with and now it's even worse

2. This is a first for me ~ the cashier answered and talked on her personal cell phone while she was checking me out. I thought that was a tad much so after she finished checking me out, I complained about it at Customer Service. I don't like hearing other customer's conversations, I sure don't want to hear hers. Oh, and in case you were wondering, she also broke a nail and was terribly unhappy about that. Twit.

What's the deal with giving someone dirty looks for looking in your cart? Yes, I did read the other thread--someone else says she glares at people too. I think that's more rude than the perceived rudeness of looking at someone's cart.

Saturday morning I went to take advantage of ad sales and I had 6 flats of assorted canned goods..filled my buggy with only 4 type of items. Corn(6), green beans(6), ravioli(24),chicken broth(24) and the guy in front of me was very friendly and said "stocking up, that is pretty smart really" and then the cash register was acting up and we were standing in limbo and he looks over and says"So, did you have a dream or something?" LOL!
I laughed and said no, not psyic, I just like to stock up on the sales.
Not everyone thinks stockers are nuts, some are really kind of interested in what the heck you know that they don't!

I grabbed 4 bags of Kraft marshmallows at the nearby convenience store because they were 50 cents each (expired day before). She gave me a look and asked me why i was buying so many. i just told her they were for rice krispy treats and they don't really go bad.. you can use them even if they get hard. Heh. Good thing she wasn't the one checking me out a few days before that when I bought 5 loaves of bread for 50 cents each. Jeez. lol. I wanted to go back and buy more (for our freezer) but dh wouldn't let me.

I can't believe stores allow employees to have cell phones at the checkout, etc. You'd think they'd have a rule about that.

Holy cow! She answered her phone. I have had one checker answer her phone (it was obviously her kid). She kept it quick and then apologized to me for answering stating that it was her child. I was totally fine with that. But, to just answer their phone and chitchat, no way! How rude! I don't blame you for complaining. I would have also.

I would have been fired on the spot for answering my cell phone, that was completely rude and unforgiveable. If my kids need me, they know the store's phone number and can leave a message for me to get back to them when I can.

The cashier had broken a nail? And she didn't take a sick day for that? What a trooper!
Seriously though, I would have complained about the cell phone too. She is there to ring up your purchase, not to chat with her pals.On 11-22-85 I married the man of my dreams.
On 01-13-89 I gave birth to the love of my life.
