There is nothing like...............
Getting a call at the end of the school day from your son's science teacher (13 yr old, 7th grade) telling you your son is in trouble AGAIN! He got in trouble today and it's his 5th offense this nine weeks. Had I been called about the others? I tell him no, this is the first I've heard about it. So he starts to rattle off the offenses. (this is the boy who is never in trouble, all the teachers love and brag about, etc.)
1st from a teacher I used to babysit for - horseplay
2nd from his social studies teacher - hitting another student
3rd from a sub - excessive talking
4th from the teacher I babysat for for shucking a student. Do I know what that is? No I don't. PULLING ANOTHER STUDENT'S PANTS DOWN! At this point I am in tears and I say MY TYLER? Yes siree your Tyler!
5th offense today when Mr. Science Teacher tells him to get out his book and do some work because he's talking and son backtalks him repeatedly.
At this point I say "are you sure you are talking about Tyler ***? Only to hear the teacher stutter and stumble and say in a very small voice "no......OMG did I call the wrong parent???"
Well this is Tyler ***'s mom and I think you must be talking about Tyler B(who is ALWAYS in trouble). Yes he is talking about Tyler B. and he is so sorry. My Tyler's name and Tyler B's name are right under each other on his list and he just called the wrong one. OMG can we rewind and pretend this conversation never happened???? I laughed and said yes we can and you need to call ...........and I gave him Tyler Bs mom's name LOL!
GEEZ! Way to get my heart pumping. My poor ds almost had a VERY bad weekend!Last edited by WV_mom_of2; 03-06-2009 at 05:08 PM.

Oh, wow, I can just imagine how shocked you were at the beginning of THAT conversation!! Glad it turned out okay, and your son didn't end up grounded for life and not knowing why!!

Oh my! I'm so glad that was cleared up!
The local high school recently on a Friday, had a glitch and called every. single. house. with students in the high school saying the student had skipped class. They didn't catch it until Monday. I can't imagine the kids who spent the weekend grounded.Last edited by nancycg56; 03-06-2009 at 05:21 PM.
