Ahhhh....
Someone needs to invent stretchable denim because ooof! My jeans are about to split at the seams.

My waist is tiny and my butt is so huge!
Sorry, I'm bored and displaying a plea for attention.

They have..look for a tag that reads 2-3% lycra!
I love mine! I used to never wear jeans because of the chafe factor..ouch! But the slight stretch in the denim fabric allows for less binding, bunching, and pinching without forcing women into "mommy" jeans.
And as an apple shape..I envy anyone with a waist..

Careful... they shrink! Wash in cold & skip the dryer. Honestly, I'm not crazy about them... they tend to loosing up too much while I'm wearing them. I keep pulling them up & they keep sliding down. Maybe I need more b*** to hold them up?

I'll donate some of my butt for your cause.

I'm more of a pear shape now since I had the two boys. I used to be all stick thin but age and family history are catching up to me.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

Take a trip to Fashion Bug they have some pretty good jeans with just a slight stretch and all sorts of cuts, although I do find the whole number and shape system they use kind of confusing. But I have found them to be pretty flattering!

I've got bootay!! lol
I have three pairs of jeans that actually fit both my waist and my hips/butt. One is "Sweetheart" jeans from Old Navy. One is Lee Riveted 5-Pocket jeans. The other are Women's Wranglers.

Levi makes a couple different pants for this shape.
The Levi's 528 Curvy cut boot jeans, You can get these at Lane Bryant.
And Comfort Fit-Boot cut by Levi, and 515 by Levi.
These are made to fit women that have more of a pear shape.
Hope this helps, jeans that don't fit right are a real pain in the BUTT! LOL
Now if I could just find them short enough, my problem fit is length.....
its sad when you can't find things to fit in length either. I get teased over shopping for shoes in the kid department!Last edited by Patty A; 03-10-2009 at 10:49 AM.

Yeah my big problem is that not only do I have a smaller waist, but I have humungous legs! I'm almost 6 feet tall and most womens' jeans shrink to be waaaaaay too short for me to tolerate. I usually buy my jeans in the clearance section at the mall (they cost me about $19.95 for a $50 pair of jeans) and they have to have both a waist and length measurement on them for me to consider them. They have to be at least a 28 waist and a 36 length before I'll buy them. The trouble, though, is that a 28 waist when it shrinks leaves my legs awfully tight but the waist is still floating around like I need a belt.
I have runners thighs and an applebottom butt now. I used to have runners thighs and no butt.
I'll check out Levi's though and see what they have.
Thanks for the suggestions!Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

Momtotwoboys, There are a few that make "curvy". Look for Gap, Mark's workware house brand or Eddie Bauer at your local thrift stores, they are harder to find, but they fit WAY better. I too am blessed with the childbearing hips, and those are a better fit. smaller waist to hip ratio. Now, the other thing is you can get the waist taken in. It's about $15 alteration, so if you find a pair that fits your hip and thigh nicely, bring it to the tailor for a spectacular fit! I know it's adding more to the cost, but the comfort of a well fit jean, what it does for you, it's a small cost. I only own 2 pairs of jeans. And I do this! I wear them until there are holes in them
So it's a worthwile investment. Also Costco has some Sanatana jeans right now that are a nice fit for the curvy female, that are a nice fit than usual. $18. Might be worth a look. I only got one pair as I lost weight and my other jeans are literally falling off. Since I'm still working on losing, I didn't want more than that. So I wear the jeans a couple days, wash them in the evening after I put jammies on and wear them again. It' sonly a few months before I need different ones..lol

Oooh, thank you! DH buys his work boots from Mark's so I'm going to have to check that out.

I figure I can wear black slacks until summer because between now and then, I'll be picking up rollerblading and running when the snow melts. I usually can slim up my thighs when I do that. I have this massive inner thigh problem that I think is the culprit behind my jeans not fitting right.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

I'll pass, but thanks for the offer. I have plenty extra in the thigh area myself. Could be part of my problem too. I've been looking for new jeans for what seems like years now & I'm about ready to give up. I should really start walking or something to tone up. Geesh... I wish I was twenty again.
