Default I need some major help!!!!

Okay, here is the problem...My dh put all our photos from the computer onto a disc, so that they can be printed off later. The disc that he put them on was a dvd disc not a cd disc, so now I can't open the disc and get the individual photos off, it only opens as a dvd slideshow!

I want to know if anyone knows how to transfer these photos from dvd disc to a cd-r disc?? Or is there a way to transfer these pictures into a jpeg file??? Please help me!!

If I can't figure this out there is a good chance that I will have to seriously harm dh...LOL...can you tell I am a little upset with him about this???

I would suggest taking it to a photography studio or camera shop. It might be pricey, but if the pix are valuable to you, it may be the only way to salvage them.

I don't know if you know how to make a screen shot - there should be a button to the right of your keyboard that says "print screen". If you have photoediting software (free ones are available ex: gimp - google it) you can just crop it, save, and you should have a jpeg. They may not make great shots blown up to 8x10s but should be fine printed as 4x6s.

I am sure there is a quicker way, but at least this way you can get your image. Hope that helps.

dvd's can be used to store data and pics just like a cd. Here is what I suggest:
    • Put dvd in and let it start the slideshow. As soon as it starts close it.
    • then go to the start menu and click on computer/ my computer (mine says computer) or you may be able to do this from your desktop if it's on there.
    • click on the dvd drive. This is usually drive e or f depending on your computer and the icon will show that there is something in there.
    • voila! you shoud be in the dvd file and be able to do anything you would like with the file.
if you'd like you can go in and tell it to ask you everytime what you want it to do when you put a dvd or cd in the drive. To do this, follow these directions:
    1. go to start menu. click on control panel. (classic view if you have windows vista), autoplay, then for DVD )or whatever other one you would like to change - click button down to "Ask Me Everytime". Save. If you do this it will ask you what you want to do with the dvd everytime you put one in and you will be able to open the file easily that way.

Oh no! I guess you deleted all the ones from your computor????
    How frustrating...
but I am the last person to give advise on anything to do with technology. But try the camera store... they do all kinds of media transfers.
    Good Luck.
