    Name 3 things that...

Happened that were GOOD this week. Let's focus on the positive..

    1. I filled in for the library supervisor this week. It was good to get out and be able to meet people, see what they are reading and make a few extra $$ besides. I love being surrounded by books.

    2. I woke up to glorious sun every morning this week. It always makes my day better to see the sun. It's also wonderful to sit at the supper table and still have light from outside.

    3. We had wonderful phone calls from all 3 of our older kids this week. It's always so neat to hear what's happening in their lives and to talk to the grandchildren. Love those phone calls.

Ooooh I am so wanting a long arm quilting machine. I've been eyeing one at the local sewing machine shop. Good for you for taking a class.

    1. My son got to CA this week, alive and in one piece (aided by 2 nice truckers, one of whom flashed his lights at him to let him know his U-haul running lights were not working,---and one of whom helped him fix them when he saw him working on them!)

    2. My other son made it to FL, OK, and had very good interviews with the dept heads in Psych, and thinks he has found where he wants to do his grad work. (they offered him free tuition + stipend for living)

    3. The grocery store up at the corner is changing hands again--back to the guy who used to run it before! I liked his merchandise and his prices!!!! Yay!

    1. My dear wonderful baby boy. Ok he's 13 and 5 inches taller than me but he's still my baby. I posted yesterday how my nephew needs tennis shoes. Well last night my sweet boy came up with this plan. He would give my nephew his pair of almost new 40.00 Nikes. He would bring home one of his 10.00 pairs of no name gym shoes to wear around here and leave the ugly black ones at school for gym shoes. And I let him! Man I love that kid! (I love my dd too)

    2. Started on my healthy eating and exercise program yesterday! I feel better already!

    3. Went to the library for books today! I plan to curl up this weekend while it's raining and read!

    homesteadmamma:

It's awesome!!! The shop lets you rent the machine for 15.00 hr once you have taken the class! Alas...even a *baby* Gammil is 10K....so I can quilt alot of hours before I could justify that!

    1) We got word that DD(15) is being sponsored by our Senator to be a Legislative Page in April. This is a huge honor. First, you have to be recommended. Then your Senator or Represetative has to agree to sponsor you based on your grades, recommendations, volunteer work, and/or other accomplishments. Not many kids get to do this, so she is very fortunate. Watching the Legislature whle in session, learning about how the government is run first hand, the various political heads and other students from around the state are all positives and will do nothing but be of benefit to her. Plus, she gets to miss three days of school for this (which are excused) and gets paid for paging those three days.

2)My mom signed her divorce papers. In a week or so she wll be officially divorced from the creep who tried to kill her last March 16th. Yay!!! She is so relieved, and seems truly relaxed and at ease for the first time since this who mess started.

3)DH found $100 in our kitchen.
