what i DID spend my money on today....
we have no-spend threads....and no eat-out threads....and frugal day today threads....
how about a thread on what you DID spend your hard-earned money on today.....it doesn't necessarily have to be a 'frugal' purchase...(come on-do we KNOW of any other kind....lol)...just whatever came between you and your dollars (whether you physically got an item or paid a bill...)
what did it cost you to get out of bed today ?? >>>>>>>>>>

Tonight I am eating out (fast food) because I am working a double shift and I just need to get away from the desk a bit for my sanity, and because brown bagging lunch and supper is too much for my organizational skills when I have as few leftovers as I do right now. But I have a frugal coupon!
Last night, however, I was so bored at work I dropped in at Amazon.com. I don't buy many books, but I spent about $9, getting a couple of used out-of-print (probably) sci-fi novels I've wanted to read. James White's All Judgment Fled for .92 + shipping, and Piers Anthony's Prosto Plus for 4.00/free shipping. The last I just heard about - a dentist is abducted and takes up galactic dentistry. It's reported to be hilarious.Donna

great idea for a challenge - I need to see things in b&w.
Hollyhill - sometimes stress spending happens - you stress spend on family and friends, right? Makes sense to me. Be kind to yourself, life is throwing a lot at you right now!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

“Decluttering isn't just simplifying your life. It's having a vision, setting new priorities and using those notions to get rid of obstacles.”

Today I'm going to a wedding - so hopefully I won't be spending! But yesterday I bought some "interview clothes" for Dh. Three pairs of pants, a dress shirt and a belt (all 50% plus 40% off) and used a gift card from Christmas, it was $56.00 (regular $350).
Then I bought the wedding present and card, $11.50 ($130 regular, a large part was free as part of a work contest) and a birthday present for family member (June) for $18 ($50 regular).
I did indulge in a cast iron cake pan, it makes little tea cakes in the shapes of flowers for $27 ($45 regular). I currently have a train pan and a mini pumpkin pan. I'm waiting for the gingerbread house pan to come out. Cake pans are my weakness.
