Newbie from Tennessee
I just joined last night, and I am already addicted. I'm taking a break at work, and decided to get on here. Per the New Member Questionnaire I copied and pasted below, I have given responses. :-)
New to the site or haven't made your first post yet? Here's an icebreaker list of questions for you to use to post an intro. Please start a new thread in the welcome forum when you post your intro. You can reply to this thread too, but you are more likely to have your post seen if it's in a new and separate thread.
How did you hear about frugal village? I found the site by accident while doing a web search of frugal living tips, etc.
What interests you here? Many of the things people on this site seem to find interesting and important are also interesting and important to me. For example, I am well known by my family and close friends as being thrifty, but I am always looking for ways to improve, and I love sharing ideas with others.
What will you contribute? After I have had time to read a lot of the information here I hope to be able to share some tips of my own. I am looking forward to taking part in the challenges, too.
Do you know any other members here? No, I do not.
How many kids? Ages? My husband and I have six kids between us (3 and 3), and the ages are 30 (his), 28 (his), 27 (mine), 22 (mine) 19 (mine), and 14 (his). Because I married my dear hubby, I have two grandchildren with one due any time, and my oldest and his wife are expecting in July.
Tell us about yourself. I am 48, married, and I teach school. I enjoy football, NASCAR, reading, family time, etc., but my great passion is TRAVELING - but only when it is a great deal is it fun.
Do you own any pets? We have one dog. He is a lab/chow mix, and he is a sweetie.
Occupation? Teacher (above)
Married or single? Married (above) - second marriage - we have been married almost three years.
Interests and hobbies? Above
I'm looking forward to participating in the forums and enjoying this web site.
