Default Are you making/eating anything special for St Patrick's day

Will/Are you cooking eating anything special for St Patrick's day?

We are having Corned Beef and Cabbage

I'm cooking the corned beef in the crock pot but cooking the cabbage on the stove. We didn't like the cabbage in the crockpot.

Corned Beef was on a awesome sale like it has been in the past but cabbage was on awesome sale 18 cents a pound.

I bought an extra head and will make cabbage rolls (bierocks) not for St Patrick's day I think they are German

Oh, I wonder if Mc Donald's has Shamrock shakes left they ran out last year. Might have to swing by and use our free coupon for a shake.

I think I am going to make corned beef and cabbage, with mashed potatoes! I will be making the corned beef in the crockpot as well, as I will be working all day. I'm undecided on whether or not I will put the cabbage in the crockpot or not...I have done it in the past and didn't mind it....And I'm not one bit Irish...My kids are some from their father's side...but maybe just a quarter or so....But it's still fun to celebrate!

We are having Lamb Stew, soda bread, triple thin mints. We just had corned beef and cabbage.

We are Irish through and through. I am on both of my dad's side. A little on my mom's side.
DH has it on both of his parents side.
For breakfast, we will be having green ham and eggs. For lunch we will be having corned beef sandwiches. I have to work tomorrow night. So that is going to be fun! NOT! LOL

Basic corned beef and cabbage - may try the Irish soda bread that others are listing as a part of their menu. Any good recipes out there?
