    Arrow Cervical Cancer ?

I am trying to find as much info, particularly about personal experiences regarding cervical cancer. I have googled for a couple days now and still feel there is more info that I need. If you have had or someone close to you has had cervical cancer, please email me or you can post if you don't mind sharing publicly.

Or even perhaps suggesting another search engine, it appears that google and ask.com return the same results.

I have a large tumor on my cervix and am trying to get as informed as possible. Thank you and I would appreciate any help, tips, advice, prayers, thoughts, etc that I can get.

Your local planned parenthood may be able to reccomend very accurate sources of information. Just a thought.

You might want to contact your local hospital or women's hospital (if you're in a larger city). They have social workers there that can often refer you to support groups in your area. (I'm speaking from experience based on Canadian hospitals...I don't know if the US medical system is set up the same way).

You're in my thoughts and prayers.

The American Cancer Society can sometimes be a great resource. It all depends on what types of questions you have.

I didn't have cervical cancer, but I had "pre-cancerous" cells detected on my cervix and had a portion of my cervix removed. I'm not sure if you would go through the same procedure or not for removing the tumor, but that portion of it, was suprisingly easy. I can't remember what the procedure was called though. I wish I could remember for you!

I had to have a colposocy (sp?) about 6-8 weeks after Wesley was born to have pre-cancercous cells removed. It wasn't bad, just a bit uncomfortable.

I have no real information for you--just hugs.
