Spring break...........UGH!!
Our spring break isn't until Easter weekend. That is one of my last weekends off with dh and the kids before I start working full time May 1. From May 1 until the end of October I work EVERY single weekend. I can take a weekend off, but it's a HUGE pain in the butt with my boss. Dh and I are only off one day a week together from May 1 until Labor Day. So we want to try and do something Easter weekend.
Our options seem to be...
1. A cabin in a state park a couple of hours from us. This is a rustic cabin (no electric or water, outhouse, etc.) but it's a nice state park and there are activities nearby to do if we get bored.
2. A cabin at a discounted rate in a state park about 3 hours from us. BUT year before last they had 18 inches of snow Easter weekend!
3. Hauling our camper to a campground about an hour away. There is no electric but we have a generator and propane in the camper. There is NOTHING at this campground but fishing, but we like to fish.
4. Camp for free in the park I work in. So NOT happening LOL. I love this park and I love to camp there, when I don't work there. But it is NO fun to camp where you work!
5. Renting a cabin in a private campground a couple of hours from us that has electricity and bathroom, but NO privacy!
Every stinking year we go through this. We can NEVER decide on something to do that everyone likes and that is cheap. We are also limited on time due to dh's work schedule. We have from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. Or maybe from Thursday afternoon if he takes Thursday night off. I love living in the country but sometimes I wish we lived closer to an area with things to do!S

Actually, I think all the options sound good except for where you work

Whatever you decide just make sure you enjoy your time and don't even think about work.
Have fun!Dh Bob
