Default Rain and thunderstorms all week!

We got our new camper all situated on our year round site at the lake. The electricity is on and we had our maiden camping trip last weekend and had so much fun.

My sister was thrilled to have us there and our camper is just across the road from her so running back and forth and even a hollar out the door works great. Who needs cell phones! I did hollar for her to show me how to "shut" down our potty when we got ready to leave as it has been a while since we had a camper and after I did that I looked at my dh and said that maybe hollaring about the potty was a little TMO! Oh well....

I do have to fix 3 shades but I already looked into prices and printed off directions on doing it. I stocked my pantry and left condiments in the fridge so when we head up next Friday I only need a few items. I also looked up foil packet recipes and ziploc bag boiled omelettes so I am ahead of my game.

I looked at the forcast--thunderstorms all week. Clear on Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully the worst will be over when we head out Friday evening.

All 3 kiddos are home so I will have a full camper.

In case anyone is wondering we got a 31ft 5th wheel 2001 hardly used Holiday rambler with 2 slides for $9100. Yes we done GOOD! LOL!

We looked--new it was $35,000! It was an elderly couple and as I said it was really just parked and is so clean and nice and BIG and at that price I am in camper budget heaven.

Now if it would just not rain all weekend I would really be a "happycamper".

I'm jealous! We are buying a nice little pop-up camper from some friends. which will make our camping experience much nicer for me...I told dh last year that I was done with tent camping, sleeping on rocks, freezing no more for me thank you very much! Have fun!

I LOVE pop-up campers. To me they are the most frugal way to go (except tents of course). They are cheaper to pull, still have lots of room, stay dry when raining. Have a great time with it... I am so jealous!

We have a camper and it rains every darn time we go camping LOL. We have just come to expect it! I wish we could find a place here to park ours and set it up for the summer. There are no campgrounds like that in my area though! That would make it so nice and easy! Have fun!

    Congrats on your bargain!

We are expecting the same forecast. I think I'll try to put a dent in dehydrating that 50-lb. bag of onions and get some painting done.

It makes it so much easier! All I do is grab a little food and any clothes we may want(I plan to grab some to keep up there and bring them home to wash as we use) and hit the road.

Power is on, fridge is cold, camper is clean. No fuss of getting the camper loaded, pulling it, waiting for dh to get it settled so I can do my part, then starting the food stuff...then you have to load it all back up.....I sure do not miss those days.

It costs almost $2000 a year to park it plus electricity but worth it.
