Default DH's boneheaded stunt...laugh or cry?

DH was repairing his boat, mixing all kinds of interesting glues and paints. He realized he mixed one up to early and in a panic, stuck it in the extra fridge,
the one we store drinks and dry goods in.
Guess what my oatmeal has a nice faint undertaste if this morning?
It was still sealed in it's original bag too.
along with the grits, cornmeal, flour, powdered sugar, left over chicken and noodles, barley and orzo.
On the bright side, it was really only about 1 or 1/2 a package of each. There are still some unopened sealed boxes of cake and quick bread mixes, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Everything else got tossed. I gave him a piece of my mind last night.
He was cross in return, but he said he was sorry and he does feel bad
No use crying over spilt milk, as it were!
I'm off to the store now!
(p.s. - the deer in the front yard will really appreciate that institutional size box of oatmeal!)

    I can top that.

My husband was out taking down some storm-damaged trees one day. I was in the house when I heard the sound of a giant potato chip crunching. I went and looked. Sure enough, he had dropped a tree on our boat! He thought he could get the tree to drop where he wanted it, but it took a funny turn on the way down.

Fortunately, it was an old boat we had wanted to get rid of anyway, but not THAT way! The tree didn't damage the motor, which we hope to put on a pontoon someday, and while it did damage the trailer, I'm hoping to make that over into a Roll-A-Boat for hauling our paddle boat out of the water after each use. The trailer would just sit on shore and never move so the damaged tongue wouldn't matter.

Even more fortunately, he had moved our one-year-old pop up camper, the only brand new vehicle we've ever owned, prior to cutting the tree or that would have been smashed too.

Too bad about your groceries but I'm sure the deer were happy!
