Nothing today, but a couple of days ago I bought a new table to go by the recliner. I've been using one of those tall garden tables with a tile top about 12" square. Too small. I doubtless paid too much, but I could not find exactly what I wanted and ended up getting the most functional option - same height with a waterproof marble top for drippy iced tea glasses in the summer. Unfrugal, but I am VERY happy with it.

I'll save my pennies on something else.

i went to the store and bought a huge t-bone steak.
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I used the hair dryer today. I don't really use it much. But I had to shower & I had to go out in below freezing weather to shovel snow & I wasn't going out with a wet head. Oh & I ran the dryer for out wet snowy clothes when we came in. Left water on the stove on warm for hot tea as soon as we cam ein. I think that was it.

Nothing unfrugal today. But last night I watched "Milk" on demand for $4.99. I suppose waiting for it to come on demand is better than going to the movies to see it, though.

I bought all the stuff to finish up most of my projects today..but no coupons, and only bought one of this, and a couple of that, and six inches of elastic etc.

Ugh! $39 later I had three tiny bags...

We were both frugal and un-frugal for the same thing today. We paid $24 for white chocolate chips, which of course are a luxury item. But they were on a clearance sale so we got 20 bags for that money. That'll last us a looooonnnnnnngggg time! They were $1.20/bag compared with $2.99/bag at the grocery store.

We got six bags of cherry mini-chips for $4.80, too.

It's a deal! I was thinking they'd be tasty in those yummy white chocolate-macadamia nut cookies, only subbing the cheap cashews I have waiting in the freezer for the macadamias!

I went over my grocery budget for the month - Barefoot Contessa made short ribs today and DH who never asks for anythings, was talking about how much he loved them. So I bought the ingredients to make it tomorrow in the crockpot while the yard sale is going on. Only thing I couldn't find was fennel - but then I've never seen it in a grocery store here.

Ughh ok I have to admit this to someone .. sigh hubby would kill me!!!! Its my daughters prom .. and we have been trying to find something for her to wear... .. looking.. dad found a 25 dollar dress that was only 10 sizes to big... (daughter wanted to die!!!)... so sent that back .. and now i am spending wayyyy too much on a prom dress... for her .. but she looks like a princess... and its not a 400 dollar dress.. sigh .. but its 200 dollars ... and its more than we wanted to spend.. i have it on lay away.. have 2 more weeks to pay it off or find something else and get my money back. Hubby thinks it was only a hundred.... but thats all that we are paying for it .. daughter is coming up with the other hundred... sooo its really not bad right??? ughhhhhh!!! I feel like i have been soooo bad!

Oh and I wanted to say the money that i put in on the dress came from my savings account(EF) not a credit card or the food money lol!!!
