I leave it sitting on the edge of the tub, mostly because the available space between the tub and wall is exactly the width of the toilet. A full roll, however it's hung, is a nuisance. So I guess the issue at my place would not be over or under, but front or back!

My father is an retired senior sales rep for scott paper company. The over way of hanging is the way they desiged the roll to be. It actually works better that way if you take the time to really study it. but then again - who takes the time to "study" it?

I still remember hiim bringing little empty marichino cherry jars home with samples of TP in it and being all proud that the scott one was still together while the competitions was a mass of pulp.

Our toilet sits so close to the vanity that if you put a toilet paper hanger on it you bump your elbows like crazy trying to get the toilet paper off. When we re-did the bathroom(painted, new flooring) I told dh to just leave the thing off. We just sit the roll on the edge of the vanity.

Am the only one who didn't know that Sara and Gabe were married??

Hey, if there's more in the cabinet within arm's reach, the bathroom isn't empty!
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
