Hi Ho - It's off to work I go
I heading back to work after approx 12 years at home with the kids.
It is temporary job though. I'm substitute teaching for a lady while she is on her honeymoon.
I have to admit I'm a bit nervous. I hope I'm able to do both my jobs well - the teaching and my mommy jobs. I hope nothing and no one slips through the cracks.

You will do fine! It's a bit strange to go back into the work world after being home some years with kids, but it will probably feel good, too. You sound cheerful about it,anyways!

Good luck! It's very nerve wracking isn't it? Dh and I got married in 1991 and I hadn't worked any until 2007. I work summers now in a campground but that first year was SO hard! I really miss my kids during the summer and just being home!

Congrats on your new adventure!! Being apprehensive is a good thing!! What grade/subject are you teaching? The kids are lucky to have you for their sub!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I'm teaching in a early childhood classroom (older 2 year olds) needless to say I'm covered in paint today. LOL It has been a while since I did art projects with such little ones. All in all I think it was a good first day I'm sure the rest of the time will get easier at least now I know names.
In my Pre -SAHM days I was a pretty seasoned sub/teacher. I've taught everything from newborns to high school seniors - on their last day of school.Last edited by imagine; 03-30-2009 at 03:43 PM.
