Service-Learning?

Does anyone know what service-learning is? without looking it up?

I am a work study service learning coordinator and struggling to get support from the students...

with the vast diversity of members.... wondering if you knew what it was....(again without looking it up)

Great program! My research is in how to address it; if you don't know what it is..........

For the most part I am addressing 18, 19 and 20 year olds.... would like to "use" you as my sounding board.... to explain what it is and what may work to get their attention!

You will help many; by not looking it up.... and helping me find away to explain it at it's basic concept!

I am not familiar with Service Learning. It sounds like it would be a hands on training kind of thing while completing some sort of service project or public service?

I wouldn't know what it is either. My guess would be some sort of community service project. Other than that, I have no idea!

I also don't know what it is. Maybe related to alternate learning styles?
