Update on job....

Well it was a cold rainy day. My office was packed full of new gift shop stuff and filthy! I spent all day cleaning up and getting the new store stuff priced and out. My feet are killing me! I even ate my lunch standing up today! I didn't get finished but it's supposed to snow tomorrow so I will be inside.

The bad news is that my boss cut hours for me and the guy who works with me. He decided he needed to create a new position and took hours from us to do it. He really sucks as a boss. He also informe me that instead of starting full time May 1 I don't get to start full time until May 14. He's also decided that my working all weekend, every weekend from May 1 until the end of October isn't enough. I now have to work every weekend starting next weekend! I insisted on this weekend off because my kids are on spring break and dh is off. I had already told him I wanted it off a month ago but he tried to talk me into working it anyway because HE'S taking the weekend off to spend with his dd while she is on spring break! UGH! I will be working every Friday,Saturday and Sunday now. He is letting the other girl have the entire Father's Day weekend off leaving us short handed but the heck with me!

I am thankful to have a job in these tough times. It's a job that I like most of the time, I can take my kids with me and for the most part I do as I please! I know I shouldn't complain but it's hard on me to work my butt off and get treated like crap in return.

Oh and someone asked about the dvd player and book..... this time of year when the weather is bad I might sit in my office and not see a soul all day! I might have to answer the phone a couple of times but other than that be bored out of my mind. So I watch movies or read!

That stinks that your boss is such a dink! I've had jobs like that and they are never fun! At least it sounds like you don't have to work "directly with him" each day...as in, be in the same office all day! You'd lose your mind!

Hopefully the nice weather will be coming soon and maybe things will seem a little nicer when the weather improves!

Sorry to hear that you have to work every weekend. Maybe the nicer weather will help business pick up. In the mean time, enjoy your time with your family.
