Default I call today the first official day of Spring...

    and it was glorious!

It hit about 50F at 12:30 and I was out rollerblading my butt off for an hour. I came back and did some relaxing, took a shower and then went to get DS5 from school. It was gorgeous this afternoon! The sun finally peaked its head out from the clouds and it warmed up so nicely. I'll bet you $10 that I'll be so sore tomorrow, but it was worth it to get out there today.

Now only if it would either rain or the City of Calgary road crew would get off their butt to sweep the roads/sidewalks, rollerblading would be a bit more enjoyable.

    Aww.

We had snow the last two weekends and it snowed at least 8-12 inches in each storm. I'm still used to NC winters where there's little snow and the weather hits the 80s by March. Even being here since 2002, it's still hard to adjust to not seeing flowers around until May and the first frost is in October.

This is the time of the year when the weather is unpredictable. I can't put the winter gear away yet. My kids were riding their bikes over the weekend and today snow. It's melted now, so that's good. My crocus were up. Hurry up spring weather. I want hyacinths, daffodils and tulips.

Mother Nature laughs in the face of spring. We are under a winter weather watch (or warning, I haven't checked since this morning).

It was in the 50's yesterday and it's snowing today. It may be spring by June.
