You know it's spring when....
You hang the last load of laundry that contains the last pair of dirty mittens out on the clothesline in the brilliant sunshine!
You spend half an hour cleaning off the bicycle that has lurked in the back of your garage!
How do YOU know that it's spring?

One way is that when I open the front door to go out there are the carpenter bees again!
Anybody know how to get rid of them?

For me it is the smell of skunk on the highway.

Seriously, that is one of the signs for me... that and daffodils.
And hanging out in the yard until my stomach grumbles and I realize just how late it really is. That's my fave because I love the sunshine and I love daylight savings time.

the pollen starts coming off the pine trees next door. It's like a midwest dust storm when that stuff starts blowing - and of course, I'm allergic!

Going to auctions and garage sales, driving with the windows open, not having to turn on the heater in the house, the birds start chirping at 5am, my allergies start acting up, and of course the kid gets antsy!!

The green grass, birds chirping, and the buds and blossoms on the trees. Oh, and opening up the house to let in the fresh air, although I can't do that this week because it snowing, and last week it was 70 and sunny.
