I could use some prayers please

Sorry, this is kind of long. My finger has been infected for over a month now. We tried a couple of rounds of antibiotics, but they didn't do anything. Last Friday I had to have surgery on the finger to drain the infection and remove the fingernail. It was a long and painful weekend of recovery and I thought things were better by Sunday night.

Monday morning though, it was more swollen than ever and purple and painful. So I went back to the doctor and they cleaned it out and put me on some different antibiotics. The thing is they haven't done anything either. My finger is still the same nasty infection as it was on Monday.

Tomorrow I have an appointment at 10:15. He told me to come prepared for surgery in the afternoon and make sure someone else drove me. I had hoped to avoid that, but with no change at all in the finger I am now fully expecting to have a second surgery tomorrow. I am so tired of this. I don't know why it isn't healing. I feel like I am doing everything right, but yet it isn't getting any better. My house is falling apart while I try to rest my hand. My dh is struggling to keep up with the kids and house stuff all during the busiest time of his year. Cooking has been really hard and I am about out of all my fast and easy ideas with what I have on hand.

I guess I need some positive thoughts and prayers headed my way in hopes that the surgery tomorrow goes very well and that I will heal correctly this time. Thanks!

Prayers coming your way! I am going through a medical time myself and thought it was over and I find out this morning it is not.

I can understand completely how you feel about your house, dh, and children.

Do what you have to get this infection under control that as I am sure you know the most important thing at the moment.

OUCH! I hope you have a speedy recovery. Try not to worry to much about the house, it's hard but it will still be there when you get better. Maybe someone can prep some meals for you. My prayers are with you.
