Default Hair bows for little girls

    Hi,
We recently adopted a little girl from China. She is 5 and is super girly. She loves, loves, loves, hairbows but at $7-9 a piece it is killing me. I figure that I can make them. I have googled "free hair bow instructions" but mostly get nothing. Does anyone one have some BASIC instructions for this?
    Thanks,
    Lisa

I won't be much help, but have you tried the $ store. That's where I get clips, bows and such for my little girls.

When I was little, my mom used plain ribbon. Maybe you could get some and just tie it in her hair. It could look cute.

    Hi Lisa,

I googled how to make hairbows. I found howstuffworks.com. Click on it and then type hair bows 1st item tells you how to make 6. I also looked on my library website and found 1 book available. I also looked up hairbows on a website I use for buying books; addall.com. Here is what I found Make your own hairwear ISBN # 1885593635 $4.90, hair designs ISBN#0590471449 $4.00, and Easy braids, barrettes, & bows ISBN# 1550743252 $4.00. When I put the prices that includes shipping. Try your library first. That way you can look at them before you decide to buy. If your library does not have them ask them if they can get them for you.
Hope this helps AND CONGRATULATIONS on the adoption of your little girl.
    Pam
