Default Does anybody else feel that FV blogging is THERAPUTIC??

I find that I so enjoy getting on each day and seeing what you guys are up to, but more surprising, posting here is like writing in a journal. The main difference being that I can share my progress with others, offer/receive support and encouragement, share stories, and bounce ideas off of each other. It's a great feeling like nothing I've ever experienced before!! Am I alone in this sentiment?

Jilly you are not alone! I trust my FV friends. I respect them. I admire them. I seek their advice.

i think that the best part about it all is we can feel free to say what we need to (especially about frugality) and we know that unlike in the 'real world' we will be applauded instead of laughed at....

we are with 'like' kind and you always look forward to being with your 'positive' friends....

It's tough out in the cruel, cruel world without a place like FV to get support from. Having a lifestyle not everyone endorses could make life a little harder otherwise. Besides, wouldn't be dehyrating now!

So totally true - when I got home today I was thinking that the difference in my life is that I am more focused because of FV and everyone here - and that's a great feeling!!

Same here, feel like it helps keep the focus on what really matters - not keeping up with the Jones' or anyone else. I like knowing my way of doing things is really not that far out there.

I agree. It's somewhere that we can not only keep track of our progress but also get unconditional support.

Everyone here is so supportive, it really is a wonderful community!

I find it very therapeutic as well. I know that I am with other frugal minded people so when my girlfriend wrinkles her nose when I mention the places where I grocery shop for the best deals I know I can come here and won't be laughed at. ........ Well, at least for that!

I find blogging in general therapeutic and helpful at organizing my thoughts (at least my personal journal). Sometimes that ability to just voice frustrations, dreams, aspirations, doubts, etc. can help our own soul find its way in the world.

I love it here too! I also take advantage of the blog area of my profile! When I get the time...I like to write a blog...just to share what I have been doing!

Absolutely, I'm suprised at how much feeling I have for people i've never met. It is good to "be" with other people that understand my kind of thinking. I am amazed at how little many of the people in this area have not responded by taking steps to take care of themselves. They want to pretend that things are the same. This is becoming important to me esp. the weight loss area. thanks to everyone. Oh, by the way I just figured out how to thank others so I can be less "rude".

FV is like that perfect "magical" journal I've always wanted...a window into a world where people "get it".

Where when people say "I know what you mean!", I know that you guys really mean it.

It's not keeping up with joneses..it's being a little acountable to the FVers.
