Christian's Do You Have a Life Verse or Favorite Scripture?

Here is my favorite and in fact verse 6 is my life verse because I am a very anxious person


Philippians 4:4-9 (New International Version)
4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

To Every Thing There is a Season - Ecclesiastes 3. 1-8

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

This is my life verse, as I measure all that I do or say by the standards that are mentioned here. My mom once told me to do this, and it's been some of the best advice I've ever had.

These 2 verses give me chills every time I read them and for me they say it all.

Romans 9: 38,39
38-For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39-Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 139:16 (New International Version)
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

How precious to know that every single one of our days, our thoughts, our everything were known by our Lord, Saviour, Friend, and King before we were even a "blip on the radar".

Nothing in our lives are a suprise to Him....NOTHING!!

This became a precious verse to me as I was going down my path of infertility......I love it more and more as life has brought more and more suprises to me (that are only a suprise to me, not to Him!)

Mom K and I share the same verse. Actually I love the whole passage. To me it shows the honor of being a good wife and mother.
I also like Matthew 14: 20 "And they did all eat, and were filled and they took up of the fragments that remianed twelve baskets. " Even Jesus di not waste. But gathered up the leftovers.

Isaiah 43:5
“Do not fear, for I am with you;
I will bring your offspring from the east,
And gather you from the west.

We just adopted a 5 year old from China and this verse has a special place in my heart.

~Can't say I have a life verse but here are a few that come to mind often.~

Ecclesiastes 1:2b "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity."

Psalm 46:10a "Be still and know that I am God."

Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
