Happy Easter everyone........

I hope you have a sunny, beautiful holiday!

It's going to be a long day here! My nephew is in from military school and I've been planning for months to go to my parent's house to see him. NOT because it's Easter but because we planned to be away this weekend on a camping trip and not come home until today. The trip was cancelled because of the weather but we had already told my parents we would be there today. I told Mom we would only stay about an hour. Well she went and bought a ham and a turkey and DEMANDED that we stay to eat lunch with them. UGH!

Then my sister found out we are going so she invited herself and her family too. She will NOT ever allow my family to spend time with my parents. NOT because she wants it to be a family thing, because she just has to be the center of attention. If my parents come here, she calls ten times. If my kids go to my parents for the weekend, she sends her kids too to upstage my kids, etc. My sister has an 18 month old and you can't look at her, get near her, touch her, etc. without my sister going NUTS.

Then my no good brother found out and raised a stink about not being invited (invited to what I don't know, NOONE was invited to anything) and if he shows up with his tramp it will be a big fight.

Mom won't give me a time we are eating, just sometime between noon and one. So I'm showing up at noon and leaving no later than 1:30. I just can NOT take the crap right now. I'm wishing we had never made plans to go at all now.

I hope you find lots of Easter eggs and eat until you pop today! Enjoy your day!

Sherri, I hope you have a good Easter day. It is a gorgeous sunny day in NE Ohio so maybe it will hit your area as well. Take a big chocolate bunny with you and when the crap starts aggresively bite off the rear end. Maybe someone will get the message.

It turned out much better than I hoped! My sister was in a very rare good mood, even letting her kids enjoy dessert and candy and my brother didn't show up. We even got a beautiful sunny day to go outside and take pictures! Now on to rain for the rest of the week!

On a side note........my sister looks SO bad. She is on one of her dieting kicks again and they usually land her in the hospital. She has lost so much weight that she looks anorexic. She is SOOOOOOO skinny and pale and just looks horrible! But you can't say anything to her or she eats even less so I just kept my big sister mouth shut!

Prayer for your sister. Would she go to counceling for her self esteem issues? Glad you had a better day than expected. Chalk it up as an unexpected gift.

WVmom, wow your family must be related to mine! We have alot of issues too. Luckily my two problem siblings are 4 hours away, so I rarely have to deal with them, but we have had some interesting family get togethers.

I hope everyone had a nice day. My DH got off of work at 6 am, so we had our egg hunt soon after he got home so he could go to bed. We got dressed and I made quiche, then we went to my parents house. We were only there for 2 hours because I am feeling sick. So the kids and I came home, I took some meds and went to sleep. The kids were really good and let me sleep. I still feel yucky, strep throat SUCKS!
