Default Hubby got a job offer!!!

I posted a while ago that hubby's job is closing. Well it hasn't closed yet (could be tomorrow or 1 month from now) but we are being proactive. He went and talked to some other auto dealerships (he's a mechanic) about jobs and yesterday he was offered a job.

He will be working on the same make of cars so there will be no learning curve. He is a little negative about this place because the pay is a little less hour +/- 2.00 and the driving distance is almost double.

I'm so relieved that he will have a job. The manager said that he wanted Hubby to show up at the new place the day his is closed. This dealership is also going to be busier than the one he is at now. Customers will only have 2 locations in which to get their car fixed instead of 3.

I tried to explain to him that he can't be too choosy right now about jobs since there aren't too many to be had. But he is still a little bummed. I think I might have to konk him over the head, lol.

Now all I need to do is schedule an appointment with the tech school to get registered for their nursing program in the fall. Then in 2-2.5 years we will be sitting much better off.

    AAAAHHHHHH RELIEF

That's great news. I think auto repair is going to be one of those "stable" jobs right now. People may not be buying new, but they are going to keep the old ones running. Be sure to let him know you love him and you're glad he has work and that the difference in pay doesn't really matter. Men get this thing in their heads about being "good providers" sometimes...
