I am so excited and SOOO scraed too
We went and looked at 2 houses on Monday...major disapointment. We looked at 4 more today. So much better!! So much better that we are putting a bid on 3 of them tomorrow!

We would have done it today but my Mom is guiding me and MY SISTER along with this process and she too found a house tonite
We have been told we need to bid higher than asking price but her realtor told her bid at asking price. I am only bidding a hair.. a few thousand over. They told me $10-20 thousand!
Here are the properties

This one gives me "that" feeling...I think I may actually get this one.

Very exciting! I like the 2nd and 3rd houses the best. Good luck and hope you get the one you really want. Are they asking you to bid higher than asking price because a lot of people are interested or because of the market? Just wondering.

I don't blame you for being excited!
Getting your own place is excellent!
All 3 are nice, but I like 2 and 3 best too. #2 has a nice laid-out kitchen. And are those granite counters? They look beautiful! The thing I liked about #3, is the Spanish tile roof. There's alot of that style around here too, and most have arched doorways inside. Very nice!
So take a deep breath! Things always seem to work out for the best anyway. But really no matter which you get, they're all very good looking houses, so anyone of them will make your family happy
Keep us posted. We'll be looking forward to see how it's going. Oh, and pics if you can, ok?
Hoping the best for you guys!
Theresa

Yay! I'm happy for you! I hope you get the one you want the most! I must say, after hearing forEVER how high housing is in California (LA COUNTY< too) that those home prices seem very underpriced. Here in rural Va the houses can be found commonly for that price but I always heard Ca was so expensive. Thats awesome!

I'm am so excited for you! From the outside, they all look like really nice homes!
I'm floored by the prices! Those are large houses for the price by the standards here! We paid about the same for a 900 sq foot house! So you go girl!
Dh and I always have the sleep on it method before we do ANYTHING involving money...so it is probably a good thing to wait a day before putting it a bid, just so you can be sure that you loved it!

Good for you! Might have to get rid of the pink bathroom, though, with 3 boys! Good luck!

Good luck on getting the one you want. I am like everyone else, I have always heard how high prices are in CA. Any of those houses would easy run$150 to $200 thousand here. People are always surprised by how high things are here in the mountains of NC.

I got just a bit ago from signing offers....agent said the normal 3 day frame does not count since we are dealing with bank owned properties. They can take as long as they want.

Patience..... whats meant to be is meant to be!!
