Hello from central IL
Hello everyone! I am so glad that I stumbled accross this forum. I have already learned a few things that I didn't know just from browsing and I can't wait to learn more.
My name is Michelle and I am currently working as an artist - I carve gourds, gun stocks, pistol grips, and didjeridoo's. I am married to JB who teaches at the local university part time and is finishing his doctorate in music. I have a 16 yr old step daughter Ciara who lives in FL and 2 spoiled kitties. I have not worked a "traditional" job outside the home for the last 6 years because I was diagnosed with a painful nerve disorder in my head called Trigeminal Neuralgia. I previously worked as a trim carpenter. Because of the loss of my income we had to become very thrifty and now we would not live any other way. I love having a vegetable garden, and year round fresh sprouts. I am an avid couponer and stockpile everything - probably a bit too much.
We are currently working on becoming debt free. We have a little less than 50k left on our mortgage and about 9k in student loans, our cars are paid for and we do not use credit cards. I am really looking forward to meeting new like minded friends here at frugal village.
