My quicky Albertson's trip...

Here's the run down:

1 Hershey's Xtra Dark candy bar 2.29, -.75 (coupon)
1 V8 Acai Mixed Berry drink (34 oz or something) 3.99, -1.00 (coupon)
1 Mtn Dew 1.49 (they say it was 1.69, but everyplace else charges 1.49)
2 Bagelful Fruit things 2 for 6.00, -1.00 (coupon)
2 bags of frozen raw shrimp 19.96 cause of a coupon (regularly 43.96 for the 2)

But wait! There's more!

I had 3 coupons which were double the value of the coupon I put them with, so the .75 coupon was actually a 1.50 coupon, and the 2 1.00 coupons were actually 2.00 coupons each.

So... I spent a total of $30.09, and saved a total of $30.88. Coupons on top of sales are great, and especially when they double the coupon, too.

The cashier lady was great. I'd given a coupon to another lady earlier, and she asked where the third double value coupon was, so I told her, and she pulled another coupon out of her drawer and used it on my purchase.

Could you please explain the doubling? Thanks. I shop at Albertsons, for sale things usually, just want to make sure I am not missing something. Do you mean that the coupon said it could be doubled and Albertson's doubled it? My Albertson's is an LLC store. I guess there are two companies so policies may be different. I have to say they have some pretty good deals this coming week (starting tomorrow) from what I have looked at so far in the flyer.

Basically, it's a separate coupon. It says something like "double the value of a manufacturer coupon"... the fine print says up to $1.00. (Otherwise, I woulda used it on the shrimp coupon.) You just pick which manufacturer coupon (I don't look to close, and have put them with store coupons) you want to double the value of -- preferably the closer to $1 the better.

They have been coming in the Sunday paper. I got 7 boxes of granola bars, 1 head of lettuce and 1 zucchini for $3.89 with all may coupons and them doubling 3. Then I went back Got 2 boxes of cereal, 4 noodle dinners, 4 mac n cheese and 1/2 gal soy milk with coupons and doublers for $6.43. I love a good deal. I was upset that they wouldn't double may man. internet coupons, others have had it done but they told me they don't. I think they are picking on me. LOL

i love it when albertsons does the double coupons !! your deals are awesome , we have different items on sale this week here in Washington but i stocked up on Sunday on some really great deals at Albertsons too.

Albertsons in Denver rarely doubles coupons. The last 6 months they have done some random weeks of doubles, but it's very poorly advertised and irratating that it's so random.

I don't ever count on doubles at Albies. We do get doubles at King Soopers (Kroger) all the time.

Our Kroger owned store here is Fred Meyers and they have never done double coupons. I've been thankful that the last couple months Albertsons and Kmart have been doing doubles here and there. Before that I had to drive 2 hrs to Oregon so I could go to a Safeways for double coupons. My mother inlaw lives there so It's not out of the way plus Oregon has no sales tax.

I haven't seen any double coupons for Smiths (they're Kroger), or Fred Meyer, which has some Kroger in addition to their other store brand (and bunches of brand name stuff).
