oh gosh snoring husband
His snoring has gotten so bad. I have been in tears, we went to the doc today. to see what can be done. He had a sleep study done 2 years ago and it was fine. Wll ya know things do change in 2 years. So all i can do is get heavy duty earplugs..

I am on the other side of the coin on this one. But I do understand where you're coming from. My snoring was/is caused by sleep apnea and asthma. I hope that the doctors find out what is wrong with your husband so you can have a peaceful nights sleep.

Bless your heart and patience. My husband snores to beat the band and has for years. I wake up exhausted every morning and don't know why. Most recently he has begun to "jump" his leg which rocks the whole bed. I believe it's pain from his accident. He won't take anything. I would be most interested in any solution you come up with. Seperate bedrooms have been mentioned. The only thing that has saved me is the fact that he travels M-F currently. Good Luck.

My hubby used to be a major snorer too but since he lost some weight it's gotten bunches better. Hope you can find something that works for you both.

I hope this gets better for you. My husband snores soooo loud. I am okay unless I wake up during the night and then I have trouble going back to sleep. My daughters room is across the hall and one night she yelled out for me. When I went in her room she was scared because there was a goose in the house. I assured her we did not have any geese in the house, it was just her father. ha ha

My dh snores, moans and talks in his sleep. He also gets on his stomach and "runs" in his sleep. He will lift each leg up from the knee, one at a time like he's running LOL. He also does the "jumping" thing as he is falling asleep. I am a light sleeper so on his bad nights I get up and sleep somewhere else. It's the only thing I can do!

Thanks for the goose story. Great chuckle!
I was the big snore here. I had sleep apnea and asthma also. I`ve had surgery so I don`t have to wear a cpap.
Dh talks and moans in his sleep. Also walks in his sleep sometimes.

All of the guys in my house snore.

My oldest is the worst; DH actually had him sleep in another room on another level of my inlaws' house during Easter weekend. I tried to sleep with the three of them in the same room and it was like sleeping next to a jackhammer.
My dad was a bad snorer too. I think it's just a congestion thing for us.
Good luck!Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

Nothing a pillow can't cure

Seriously though, I'll be moving into a free bedroom once the kids start moving out! Dh can be SO bad. I often crawl in with one of the kids, or on the couch.

My DH snores and kicks in his sleep. It is a lot better since he went and lost a lot of weight several years ago. We also found out that when he sticks to his low-carb/low-glycemic diet that it goes away. He snores worst when he has has too much refined sugar or bread/crackers during the day.
For his legs, I give him a little massage to help the muscles relax. That usually does it.
I also found out years ago, before I was married, that those 'breath right' strips DO work. The only problem is they are kind of expensive for every night use.Use it up, Wear it out,

Actually a pillow can solve the problem, but not the way that mommy4ever is hinting at.

My dh and his dad and his grandpa are very heavy snorers. But when we were living in Korea right after we got married we stumbled upon hard (my sister-in law has nicknamed them bricks) pillows (we needed pillows and we bought the first ones we saw). His snoring stopped the first night. The hardness keeps the air passage open all night. Sometimes now he snores lightly but that's because our bed is too soft, and that's when I just roll him over (he doesn't snore on his side). If you get a hard pillow, you need a hard bed. I believe they should start selling these pillows in Canada. But if you go into a speciality store ask for the hardest they have.
Good luck

5 years ago my doctor became concerned about my increasing blood pressure and exhaustion. We talked about my sleeping habits and he told me very bluntly that we needed seperate rooms! So dh moved downstairs the next night. Between his snoring and med that he was on, if he wasn't bellowing like a bear he was kicking someone, me, in his dreams. I have winter induced insomnia as well but even that is beginning to become less and less as I get better sleep. At least when I do fall asleep I get to stay asleep!
