Default We got a new used car

Dh had been driving a '93 Oldsmobile Ciera for 4 years now. He paid $1000 when we bought it and it had 80,000 miles. It now had 169,000 and we decided to look for something better. He found a '96 Grand Prix with only 40,000 miles. We got it for $1200. Yippee!!! Oh, and I put an ad in the paper and sold the Olds for $400. It so pays to start looking months before you need something so you can patiently wait for a good deal.

Happy for you. I think more people are going to be buying used vehicles. I know a few dealership mechanics who say they are so busy but the sales reps are not. My fiancee works for a major auto parts distribution center and they are busy busy busy. Enjoy knowing it won't take long to pay it off either.

    You done good

People are looking for vehicle bargains seriously. I just put a ad up for my son on craigslist for a older jeep, and and 2 emails last night less than 30 minutes after posting the ad. And 3 more this morning. I hope it sells quick so I can pull the ad.

Glad you found a good deal. I hope you get many good years of use out of it.
Dh just purchased a used jeep for 7000, he had been looking for awhile and just bought it this week. Dh company made them park their work trucks, they can no longer drive them home. So he had to get something to get better gas mileage, as he has a 454 motor in his Silverado. My car will be paid off in a few months, we will have a small payment on his jeep, but should be able to pay it off quickly.

Love these success stories!! I always buy used cars - that way I don't worry about the first scratch - LOL!! My 2000 Forester is still going strong and is perfect for me!! I may break down and get the AC fixed this summer - worth it since I am teaching this summer!!
