I called both docs
Wouldnt you know it. They were not in. The gastro nurse said that depakote can hurt the pancreas, but she also said that alot of the valporic drugs can. when your on stuff like this you have to get a liver blood test 12 weeks,to test the levels.Gastro nurse said doc would not change it it he did not prescribe it, ok makes since. So i called my reg doc talked to his nurse ,she said he would probably change it. She said not to stop it for now. She doesnt want me to go manic or have a major fall in levels. So i hope tomorrow i can start something else. My body was just getting use to it. Today i had terrible pains. i was making dinner and had call my hubby in to finish. Now i have a migraine. ack will ever stop.

I'm so sorry that you are hurting right now, doctors I think sometimes forgot that we are real people and have pain!!! Hopefully you get this all figured out soon!! Keeping you in my thoughts!!!

I called my family doc, the one who diagnosed me with bipolar,he started me on the depakote back in June..I have pancreatic problems for 2 years so he should have known the danger it could have caused.
He wants me to stop the depakote, but wont order me anything else. He wants me to go to someone that deals with bipolar, thats not a problem but im fustrated because it could be 4 to 6 weeks before i get into bridgeway. So i guess im suppose to go off the meds and crash. I have 2 bottles of 500mg and 2 bottles 250, i think im going to cut down the 250 2x a day. right now im at 500mg x3.If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal. Not to
