    Unhappy $75 gone

I went to Goodwill yesterday to have a look around. I had $75 for my monthly groceries and general expenses in the front pocket of my jeans. (Same pocket as my cell phone). Although I didn't buy anything there but I did get a text from my DS. After I left GW I went to buy gas for the car. When I went to get my $ from my pocket I realized all that was in there was my phone. I think what happened is when I pulled my phone out at GW my $ fell out. I got my purse from the trunk and paid for gas with my debit card. Then I went back to GW but of course noone knew about any $... I'm so upset over this... guess that's what happens when I just stick $ in my pocket.

I'm so sorry! That happened to me about 6 weeks ago at the bread store. It really bites! I told myself I hoped that somone who really needed it was the person that found it.
Then again an honest person would turn it in as it's not like it was in the middle of the road.

I feel you pain. I did something similar at a grocery store. Had money in my pocket with my keys. Pulled my keys out in the lot and out went the money about $30. I put the stuff in the car, was returning the cart only to see a car whip up right by my car. The woman driving tells her kids to hurry up, they pop out, grab it, and the woman takes off. What morals to teach your kids!

    Yikes! That really sucks.

If I have any loose cash on me, I never let it leave my wallet. Although I had never had cash fall out of my pocket when I was carrying it there, I've had people tell me that it's just about fallen out at some points. After that, I stopped carrying it around in my pockets at all.

Ugh! Sorry this happened to you. I think it's happened to most of us at some point, so we can relate to the frustration.

    Yep I've done that!

I had a belly pack and a grocery cart at a big thrift shop. Was looking at the books (a C made by bookcases and tables) and this woman walks up to my cart and starts to pick up my belly pack (which had $300 in it). I said, "That's MINE!" and she dropped it and said, "Sorry!" and scurried off. One reason I'm glad I've always had grest periphery vision!

I am so sorry for you. The worse thing I have ever done was in a grocery store self check out, I left all my change. I was very angry at myself.
I have to believe that beside learning a hard lesson, someone who really needed a lift in this world got one that day.
