I don't know how it works. I guess some instinct for survival.
And I don't really like that motto.....diabetes management is important for my daughters life and health but its life's details that make it wonderful.... or so I always thought anyways...
?? I must have missed something.

Wow, I haven't been here in some time and didn't know your daughter was ill. I am glad you have a diagnosis and I imagine while you will probably always be cautious and concerned, I am sure that you will all settle into a routine soon. My best of luck to you.

Sorry didn't mean offend about using the motto that my sons Diabetes camp uses... I think what they were trying to convey was to remember diabetes is a lifetime 24 hr 7 day a week kind of thing and if it isn't kept in check, nothing will matter because you may not be here, so don't stress about details (in other parts of your life-I think)... At least that is the way I see it. Maybe I am wrong, in any event I am sure it was not created to offend anyone.

We were lucky my dh's insurance covered his supplies. I had to find a medical supply place instead of a drugstore that carried them and the dr. wrote scripts for both a new meter and enough strips for 6 months. His insurance covered 100%. We are trying to get his low blood sugar under control which is not going well but we keep at it. Remember you won't do your daughter any goodif you end up sick so be sure to take care of yourself too.

Go easy on yourself. You have had a lot to deal with.

    Oh you didn't offend me!

It just upset me....which is so easy to do when I think about Type 1 D..
I guess, I don't want to face the foreverness of it, do you know what I mean?
That it will never get any better, that it is always there...
I know, I know sticking my head in the sand...again...
