    Hmmm....

If we moved the legal driving age to 21 (which is the legal drinking age), what about the fact that they are ADULTS at 18? I'm just sayin'...

21 is pretty unreasonable for a minimum driving age. What are they supposed to do for those three years between the school bus and the drivers license? How do they get to work? College?
Of course I don't know why your drinking age is that high either. If you're old enough to marry, get sent to war, and elect a government, seems to me you should be old enough to have a glass of wine with your dinner.

Over here, you can get your L's permit at 16. Once on your L's you then have to complete 120 hours of log driving, including 20 hours of night driving.

We have a graduated provisional licence system as well. Red P's are for 12 months. The are limited to no alcohol at all, limited to the type of car they can drive, limits apply to passangers for certain age drivers late at night. If they get caught speeding its an automatic loss of licence for 3 or 6 months. Mobile's are not to be used under any circumstances. Speed limit is 90km/h

Green P's are for a period of 24 months. As far as i am aware they also have the no alcohol at all, limited to the type of car they can drive, limits apply to passangers for certain age drivers late at night restrictions. They can incur 6 demerit points on their licence before it is suspended. Mobile's can only be used for calls but have to be used on hands free.

No drivers here are allowed to text whilst driving. Personally i think its great. I can bearly read an sms while im driving, let alone think of writing one.
