Grrrrrrrrrrr.........
I went to the next town to Walmart this morning. I wanted to stock up on fresh produce. I was surprised to find almost everything I wanted on sale too!
But..... I bought a whole chicken to bake for dinner tonight. Got it home, started to put it in the oven and it looks horrible(the date on it is May 13)! The skin looks like it's old or been exposed to air or something. I am NOT cooking it! Can't take it back either since Walmart is 40 minutes away! I wonder if I take in the receipt the next time I'm in there and explain if they will give me my money back?
So now it's beef roast for dinner instead!S

I would call them. My local grocery store allows you to do that. Just write down who you spoke to and when. I hate driving back to the store.

I would call them and let them know about it. Be sure to get the name of the person you talk to (first and last), as well as the time you call.

I refuse to buy meat at WM. It looks disgusting. Fresh meat is something I will pay more for. I would just take the whole thing back in there with my reciept and ask for my money back. Ick.

Walmart carries Perdue chicken and it doesn't look like other chicken. The skin stays yellow and looks a bit separated for lack of a better way of describing it. Not that you should eat what you consider gross or bad poultry. Just sharing that Perdue chicken does look different.

I stopped buying my meat from there since they started shippin from many states away.It sits in a wharehouse for a day then on a truck fr 2 days. They have been kown to use food coloring to red meats to make them look better. I like it better when a butcher was there.

I once saw a programme on chicken: the horrible/convenient thing about chicken is, that as long as you prepare it thoroughly, and heat it through and through, you can eat it. They showed green chicken that had been prepared for and eaten by very old people in a Home, and they all survived. (The programme was about uncovering this scandal, and the chicken had not been prepared like that for the programme, they showed it by using a hidden camera.....)
YUCK. I'd say call Walmart.

I got a chicken like that but not from Walmart, mine was from Hannaford. Definately a killjoy on chicken that evening.
Luckily I live close to the store and took it back.....they were good for the money.
Good Luck.
