Anyone use Hulu?
In August my satellite TV contract will end. I am thinking of getting the converter boxes for the TV's. And using Hulu to watch any shows (movies) I would normally get on cable or satellite TV. I figure it would cut down on costs since I would only be paying for internet access.
So my question is has anyone used Hulu and what do you think about it. I am planning on buying a new computer in August.

Hubby watches it all the time. Okay not constantly but he really enjoys it.
There aren't always complete season of shows and some shows it directs you to the station site that airs that show (example all ABC shows are aired on their website so it send you there to watch them) Some shows are only available to watch for X days after original airing on tv. Some aren't available until X days after the original tv showing.
Hubby sets a cue for his favorites and it brings them up on a list when there is a new one.
I like using HULU to see older shows or ones we don't get. I also like to go to HULU watch the show when the DVR didn't work right and didn't record or cut off before the end of the show.
Hubby has our computer set up with two monitors so he can work or play in one monitor and watch HULU on the other.
We like it a lot but beware there is so much to see that it really might turn your brain to goo like the commercials say. LOL

I love hulu! I watched all 12 eps of firefly 2 weeks ago. Started the classic battlestar gallactica and a few highlanders for beefcake factor lol.
I wish they had more captioning but I won't complain.

We watch HULU ALL the time. All the shows we normally watch, The Celebrity Apprentice, House, 24, Lie to me, they are all on there. So are the older shows. Last month we watched every Fall Guy episode they had. At first it was a little bit of a bother, we hooked up the larger computer monitor to the laptop so we could both view a screen but the volume on the computer wasn't very loud. When I got my new laptop I made sure to get one with an S video port and we bought a cable, so now we just plug it into our regular tv along with the headphone/av jacks and watch it right on our tv screen. That way its large enough for the whole family to view and we can use the remote to control the volume. We really like it and have gotten a lot of use from it.

I like Hulu! I use it mainly for when the DVR records 'breaking news' instead of my show because of our local channels. I also like it for older movies and series.

Hubby says if you want to replace your satellite with HULU you should check to see if you can watch your shows on HULU we tried to see if they had TLC shows like jon and kate plus 8 or 18 kids and counting we couldn't not find them and some HBO shows like six feet under and we couldn't find them either at least not newer ones and they did not. So not everything is on HULU
Just a word of caution
