    Default What's been going on here...

    We are the closest city w/ an airport to support the fire planes. It's ironic that they were just saying they weren't going to use our city to fight fires w/ planes anymore due to the budget cuts in California. My son's elementary school is near the flight path of the planes and the kids were watching them during recess.

    These red and white fire planes have been flying 'round the clock for a few days now and it was crazy busy w/ 'em today. We've got a lot of fire crews heading to Santa Barbara from here and the surrounding areas.

    We're starting to get more haze on our horizon from the fires. The winds are not helping anything.
