Is gas going up where you live?
It's taken a big jump here almost overnight! When I went to work on Saturday morning it was 2.15 at the little store here. When I got off work it was 2.33! That's huge for one day! I was out today and the cheapest I saw it was 2.19 at a little store that is waiting for their next shipment to see how much they will raise it. The highest I saw it was 2.39.
I guess they are gearing up for Memorial Day!S

I paid $2.24 this morning, that's the lowest I could find, and about a $.15 jump from what I paid last week.
I heard on NPR this morning that supplies are at an 18 year high and demand is still declining, so our Attorney General is calling for an investigation into why prices are rising (other than greed).

It has gone up 20 cents total in the last two weeks (10 cents in THREE days)! Memorial Day is coming up, school is almost out, and summer vacations will be starting soon. I don't believe for ONE minute that there is a gas shortage - greedy S@Bs!
FWIW - We have been watching our gasoline usage for the last several years. Recently I had problems with my truck and am saving to have it repaired. Now I am using hubby's truck (smaller engine-less gas) and he is taking the motorcycle to work more often. We also use the motorcycle whenever possible. So we have really cut our gas consumption.Mary

I was shocked at the pump this morning. I paid about $2.29. The Mobil by the freeway is usually about 5cents higher anyway but I am trying to figure out how I spent over $30. when my tank read 1/2 full? Not that I am accusing anyone of anything.

Yup. For the longest time we've hovered around $2.10 (never did get below $2). Then overnight it jumped from $2.11 to $2.21 then again to $2.39. I'm afraid to see what it's up to today
