    Post Hello from the wild west

    Glad to see other newbies besides myself. I'm an avid Mother Earth reader, and have been frugal all my life My husband and I live on a rural property in Eastern Oregon and we have 2 grown sons who attend college about 3 hours away. I suppose the big event of our lives for the next few years is that we're building a house, supplying most of the labor ourselves. Between his hunting and my gardening and baking we supply most of our own food. I'm always glad to find like-minded groups such as this - there is a stigma attached to self-sufficiency such as ours. Everybody please forgive my newbie blunders and I hope to learn a lot from you!
